Jacoozy

Jacoozy is a five-piece band originally formed in Boone, North Carolina, now making waves from their home base in Asheville. Blending rock, funk, jazz, and alternative, Jacoozy crafts a sound that's both eclectic and unmistakably their own. With a lineup of seasoned musicians — guitarists Killian Wright and Will Fentress, drummer Pauly Scott, keyboardist Isaac McMurry, and bassist Ramon Garcia — the band is known for their dynamic improvisation, tight musicianship, and high-energy live performances that leave audiences hooked. Wright, Fentress and Scott met as students at Appalachian State University; McMurry and Garcia joined after. Born from loose jam sessions, Jacoozy has evolved into a formidable touring act, building a devoted fanbase throughout the region. Their debut full-length, Still Afloat, came out on September 17, 2025, preceded by the singles "Don't Leave Nothin' Behind", "Hurry" and "Tired", and they played WNCW's Studio B that December. Live at Bijou Theatre followed in February 2026, recorded in Knoxville on Halloween 2025 while opening for Big Something. In 2026 they played FloydFest, the Whitewater Center in Charlotte and a run of co-bills with Wax Monkey across the Southeast, and on January 2, 2027 they return to Raleigh's Lincoln Theatre on a bill with Big Something.
